Naran Valley
History of Naran
Naran and Kaghan, located in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, are among Pakistan’s top tourist destinations. Historically, they served as trade routes connecting Gilgit-Baltistan with ancient Gandhara. The region has been home to Pashtuns, Gujjars, and Kohistanis for centuries. Once a summer pasture for nomads and a retreat for British officers, it is now famous for its lakes, rivers, mountains, and lush green landscapes.
